Cultural Heritage Projects

As of November 2025, we currently have a team working this austral season to stabilize and conserve the famous Stromness Manager's Villa. Restoration of these iconic buildings needs to happen now before they disintegrate. We plan to produce digital reproductions shareable worldwide. This is a multiple year project.

In Grytviken, where the South Georgia Museum is located, we are installing a memorial to the thousands of whales that were killed during the first half of the 20th century, when South Georgia was at the center of the Antarctic whaling industry in hopes that global awareness will prevent mass whaling in the future.
